So excited to be taking photos with my new Nikon Z7 mirrorless camera. I actually purchased the camera in September of 2020 and it sat on the shelf for a bit. COVID prevented me from my usual trips for a while and I also found that I was a little too cautious to try the new and always going with my old trusty Canon. But, on this recent trip to Alaska to visit my son and his family, I decided to take my new Nikon and ONLY my new Nikon. That way I would have to use it. And I love it so far!
The standard lens that it came with was a 28 - 70 mm f/4 lens. I setup the camera to be in back button focus mode by default and it is so easy to use. Also, very easy to use the dials to adjust ISO, f-number, etc. in program mode. I’ll be here in Ketchikan until the end of April. Spring has sprung here and so far lots of opportunities to explore with my camera. Here’s just a couple of the photographs I have taken so far. I do confess, some of them were taken with my IPhone 11 Pro camera. The weather has been rainy and foggy at times, but we are having more sun lately.
