About
I completed my professional career training at the Optical Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona, and I graduated with a Master's Degree in Optics. After almost 30 years of service at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, I retired in 2014. My current interests include traveling (especially the National Parks), family genealogy, digital scrapbooking, gardening, and of course, photography.
Photography has been my passion for many years. In the beginning, my husband was my photography buddy and he and I traveled and took photographs together. For a long time, we had different cameras and were competing to see who could capture the best shots. He taught me a lot about the art of composition that sometimes is more difficult to learn from a book. What began as a simple hobby grew to become an obsession. Now I find my camera to be a constant companion. My brother has also shared this common interest with me over many years and the three of us have gone on numerous trips with our cameras in hand.
I am always learning about photography and trying to improve. I hope that you will follow my progress as I learn more and share my work. I sincerely hope you enjoy the beauty, awe, inspiration, and surprises of nature that I sometimes see through my lens.
